The Q3 is for travellers who want a higher seat and a premium badge, but not the width that comes with larger SUVs. It is light on its feet in town, simple to park and comfortable enough for a day on the main roads. We keep two: a 2014 Q3 and a 2012 Q3 2.0 TDI, both diesel and automatic, with five seats and space for three suitcases. Couples, solo travellers with work gear and small families who pack light will find it an easy fit.
Base yourself in Tirana and use it for day trips: Mount Dajti above the city, the old bazaar at Krujë, or the beach at Durrës. A slower week along the coast from Vlorë to Sarandë works just as well.
